The search continues...

The last few days have been uneventful, but relaxing. We have continued to explore the area, including the parks, shopping centers AND numerous Targets (Jim swears we have been in every one within a 20 mile radius, I'm determined to prove him wrong!) Saturday we went to Lake Crabtree County Park, which is about 5 miles from here. We walked along the lake and checked out the various activities they offered (canoeing, kayaking, rowboats, beach volleyball, fishing and numerous walking/biking trails. It was a gorgeous morning and the scenery was spectacular.

Last night we went to Hope Community Church, which is the large church we attended last week. Once again we fell in love with the praise and worship and the pastor's preaching. However, the church is HUGE and in many ways we feel as if we fall in between the cracks as visitors there....

This morning we attended a community church 20 minutes from here. Although the congregation was extremely welcoming, we didn't care for the style of music or preaching. So, the search continues for a church we can call our own and pray in due time we will find a perfect fit, until then we'll just keep trekking along...visiting and researching all our options.

Tonight we found a park near by which as new (lighted!) tennis courts, which we took advantage of...and then we found a local ice cream shop... simply heavenly!

Well, here's to another week in NC! It is hard to believe we have been here for 2 weeks and married for a month! Oh, how the good times fly...

Thanks again for checking in on us. With love, Emily

PS. We'll post pictures tomorrow...our internet connection is a little sluggish tonight!
