Moved in!

A huge thanks to our family for making the long trek to NC to help us move! We couldn't have done it without you. For those we haven't talked to in awhile...we have safely arrived in North Carolina and are settled into our apartment. The walls are painted and almost everything has found a new home. Life has begun to settle down a bit too.

Jim had two job interviews on Tuesday and was offered teaching positions at both schools. He accepted an elementary school special edu. position at Green Hope Elementary, which is about 7 minutes from our place. We truly are thankful and a bit relieved too! We don't know when Jim will start teaching, since it is a year-round school, but hopefully the details will be sorted out early next week. Until then, we're enjoying our time off from work and getting settled into this new place we call home. It is crazy how quiet life has become (especially after the craziness of the wedding and move!) It feels good to simply be and enjoy time with each other without the stress of the real world.

We miss all of you, but we are eager to see what God has in store for us here in NC. Hopefully this blog site will help us stay in touch. Your prayers are appreciated as we continue to seek God's will for our lives and as I begin the search for a nursing job. Thanks...
With love from down south, Emily

Hi guys,

The blog is a great idea to keep in touch. Right now Sue and I are at her son and his wife's place in Lubbock Tx. Flew into Dallas yesterday and we to the Sixth Floor Museum about the Kennedy assasination. Very interesting. Amazing how small an area it is once you see it in person. Today went to the restored Fort Worth Stockyards. Saw a cattle drive and went to some shops of course. Lot's of rain in Dallas, Better up here in Lubbock.
Sure glad I came to check things out in NC. Feel better now that I know the area and such. Good luck with the new job. I'm sure you'll do great Hoping Emily's search goes well too. I'll sign off now, but we'll stay in touch.

Love Dad
